New gist from benue state University. And ge girl said. A mentee of mine drove from Damaturu to Benue State on a mission to propose marriage to his girlfriend of two years. He arrived Makurdi last night and decided to surprise her at Benue State University, today. Coincidentally, she wrote her final examination by noon at the first campus of the university.
According to him, her signing out from school should coincide with her signing out from singlehood. I loved the idea, so, I honoured him with my presence as requested.
This mentee of mine is doing well. He bought a new car a few days to his journey from Damaturu to Makurdi. When we met, he handed over the car key to me and requested that I bless the car and drive.
Gladly, I did as requested to the delight of my mentee and his younger brother. We drove from the faculty of education to the venue where his girlfriend was writing her final examination.
Our timing was perfect because she came out of the examination hall the moment we arrived there. His beautiful girlfriend rushed and jumped on a guy who was obviously signing out as well. This guy, bearded and handsome, pecked her on the forehead and hugged her for a while.
My mentee let out a sigh of disappointment. He suddenly became restless. To calm him down, I told him not to be bothered about the conduct of his girlfriend. In fact, I excused her for being drunk with the excitement of graduation.
Reluctantly, he nodded in acceptance of my excuse to the displeasure of his brother. We were about to alight from the car and fulfill our mission, when a clean, black, Toyota Corolla of 2018 model, made a grand entrance.
My mentee’s girlfriend lost her composure the moment she sighted the car. She couldn’t wait for the car to come to a halt before jumping on the bonnet. At this point, we decided to wait in the car and watch the entire event unfold.
The young man in the 2018 Corolla, came down from the car hugged and passionately kissed the girl who was of interest to us. He got a red marker and wrote his name around her breasts region.
This guy, unlike the other guy, tenderly caressed the breasts while writing his name. He had an erection that was hard to conceal. At this point, my mentee started sobbing. His younger brother who sat directly behind the passenger side, scolded him for being a sissy. I was calm, quiet and pained.
‘What next? ” I asked.
No response from any of the other guys in the car.
Then, my mentee’s phone beeped. It was a video message on Whatsapp from his ex-girlfriend, who happens to be in the same department with his current girlfriend.
The video contained all that we witnessed. The comment attached to the video is, “Look who you left me for. ”
‘What next? ‘ I repeated.
‘ I am signing out of the relationship. ‘
“I wish you well” was all I could say.
We drove to my favourite bar to celebrate his liberation from an unholy union.
No man should be that unfortunate.
