
Super Eagles depart for AFCON in Kaftan: Ahmed Musa leads Nigerians to Cote d’Ivoire
Just like the 2018 World Cup, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have departed for AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire wearing white Kaftan and green caps.
The Super Eagles are on their way to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Officials and players wore traditional white kaftans with green headgear to represent the national colors.
On Wednesday morning, the players and their officials—clad in traditional African garb—left Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport for Abidjan.
On Tuesday, the delegation traveled from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to Lagos.
The team led by Jose Peseiro spent a week in Abu Dhabi refining their AFCON tactics.
Tuesday night, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave them a send-forth supper.
