Inter Miami stars Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi train for a friendly against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

Major League Soccer side Inter Miami have resumed pre-season training to get ready for a glamorous friendly against Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

The training means that Luis Suarez featured alongside Lionel Messi at Inter Miami for the first time since their Barcelona days.

As they get ready for the MLS season, pictures and videos from their first workout together since their time at FC Barcelona have emerged.

The first of Inter Miami’s seven friendly games, six of which will be played away from home, will take place in just six days.

Before meeting FC Dallas at the Cotton Bowl just three days later, the Herons will first take on the men’s national team of El Salvador on January 19.

That precedes the Herons’ massive Asian tour, which starts on January 29 with two games against Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia and on February 1 with a showdown versus Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr.

On February 4 Inter Miami plays the Hong Kong national team before going to Japan to play Vissel Kobe.

They will finally play Messi’s boyhood club, Newell’s Old Boys, in Miami following that lengthy road trip on February 15.

Six days later they will feature in their MLS season opening against Real Salt Lake at home.
