Israel war on Gaza: Israeli forces kill 3 Palestinians, run over body

Shocking video footage captures Israeli forces driving a military vehicle over a Palestinian victim after three men were fatally shot in the occupied West Bank’s Tulkarem.

Israel continues bombing attacks in southern and central Gaza, with reports of strikes in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Hospital.

Occupied West Bank faces ‘major escalation’, Netanyahu warned

The situation stems from the Israeli government’s refusal to transfer tax revenue to the Palestinian Authority (PA) and allow more than 150,000 Palestinian workers back to their jobs in Israel, Channel 12 reports.

The taxes – managed by Israel under interim accords from the 1990s and usually handed over monthly – make up more than half of the PA’s budget. More than 130,000 civil servants rely on the tax transfer to pay their salaries.

‘Scenes I’ve never seen before’: Physician describes desperate conditions

Dr Nick Maynard, a surgeon with the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians, says the situation at Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza is entirely “unmanageable” with hundreds of new victims in need of care daily.

“There were several hundred people being admitted every day,” Maynard, who left the hospital on Monday, told Al Jazeera. “There was not enough staff … and the operating theatres were full all the time.

“It was scenes I’ve never seen before in a hospital, and I’ve been a surgeon for many, many years.”

Maynard, from Oxford, was one of many health workers to evacuate the hospital earlier this week as Israeli bombardment intensified in the area.
