Boniface credits teammates for success

In a display of humility, Nigeria international, Victor Boniface, has credited his teammates for his bright start to life in Germany, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen for €20m from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last transfer window but has blossomed into one of the most dreaded strikers in Europe.

His impressive tally of seven goals and two assists in seven Bundesliga games have seen him pick up the league’s Player of The Month and Rookie of The Month awards for August, while also earning nominations for Best Player of The Month in September.

The 22-year-old striker has been instrumental to Die Werkself’s impressive start to the 2023/24 season as they currently sit top of the Bundesliga table after seven match days and winning all but one of their games in all competitions this term.
