14-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro starts from $1,605, AirTags at $24, Eve Cam, more
If you need more than 8GB of memory, today’s 14-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro discounts are right up your alley. Pricing starts at $1,605 for the usually $1,999 MacBook and comes joined by AirTags from $21 each and a rare chance to save on the HomeKit-enabled Eve Cam at $130. Hit the jump for all that and more in the latest 9to5Toys Lunch Break.
Best Buy currently offers Apple’s 14-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro for $1,799. This drops the 18GB memory and 512GB SSD configuration down from $1,999 to the second-best price yet. It’s the best in over a month, too. The savings get even better when you consider open-box models, which drop to $1,677 for an Open-Box Excellent model or even lower for other conditions from $1,605.
Apple is back with its latest MacBook Pros, refreshing the same physical form-factors with improved performance. You’ll find a familiar and best-in-class Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion 120Hz refresh rates and P3 wide color gamut support, but this time there’s extra brightness that climbs up to 1,600 nits. Then there’s the new M3 chip this time around, which marks the company’s first 3nm processor so far.
This is the M3 Pro model, too, which steps up from the base configuration to offer a 12-core CPU and 14-core GPU with its companion 16-core Neural Engine, all of which combines to offer Apple’s best performance yet from a mobile chip. Otherwise, there are still Thunderbolt ports, an 8K HDMI output, and an SD card slot.
Amazon is now offering Apple AirTag deals for the first time since last year’s holiday shopping season. Right now, just a single one of the item finders will set you back $24. This is down from the usual $29 price tag and matches our previous mention to come within $1 of the fall’s best price. A better value, you can also bring four of Apple’s item finders to your luggage, keys, and other gear for less. The AirTag 4-pack sells for $83 on Amazon, down from its usual $99 going rate. This notably drops the price of each individual tracker down to under $21 each – meaning if you were going to buy more than a couple of the single packs, it’s a better idea to just go with the bundle.
Eve Cam is our favorite indoor HomeKit camera
Amazon is now offering the Eve Cam 1080p HomeKit Security Camera for $129.99 shipped when clipping the on-page coupon. Today’s discount is the first one we’ve tracked in months. It wasn’t on sale during the holiday shopping season nor on Black Friday proper, but now it is! There is $20 in savings from the usual $150 price tag and the best price since last summer when it dropped $9 lower. Earlier in the month, we also took a recent hands-on look to see if it’s still the top indoor HomeKit camera around – spoiler: yes, it is.
Equipped with HomeKit Secure Video support, Eve’s foray into the connected camera gamedelivers 1080p recording, an emphasis on privacy, and an indoor design. Other notable features here include rich notifications, motion alerts that can distinguish between people and pets, and more. While it’s more expensive than other models on the market, it’s been made pretty clear lately that you get what you pay for in terms of privacy. You can learn more in our recent HomeKit Weekly feature.
